Want to Be Happier: Few Basic Things to Follow

Happiness meaning “pleasant and contented mental state”. Let me ask you, how many of us have contented mental state? How many of us are living the life we dreamt? How many of us are proud of ourselves? The answer is very few. Believe me these few people are hard to find in this jeopardized world. Here are some of the basic yet important actions to be happy.

  • Appreciating
    The meaning itself says “to esteem or value highly”. Everyone does mistakes and no one is perfect here. So STOP blaming others and start appreciating their little contribution towards your work.
    For example,
    If you are a Boss stop blaming your employees for not meeting your expectations. If you are a father STOP blaming your child for letting you down. May be it’s because you didn’t provide them enough training. May be you asked too much too soon.
    Appreciation makes people happy, it make them realize how important they are to you. It helps them adore you more. When people start adoring you more you get happier and happier.

  • Just be yourself
    Being yourself is not an easy task !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Half the time relationship started through dating doesn’t work because he/she always try not to be themselves. No one likes you for your clothes, your car, your possessions, your title, or your accomplishments. Those are all “entities.” People may like your entities–but that doesn’t mean they like you. Actual and loving relationship can be formed by being yourself not by impressing people with fake version of you. I am sure people will love you for what you are not for what you have.

  • Let go
    We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us – Joseph Campbell

    It’s important to let go things sometimes and believe in things which are coming in front in our lives. As people say whatever goes off comes back.
    Think about the situation, where your friend/parents/Boss has promised to do something for you but couldn’t do it. Don’t cling too much on the things they didn’t do it but think about the good memories they have already shred in your life.
    Put your leg into their shoes and try to understand the situation from their end, I am sure you will find the reason worth forgiving them and move on in your life.

  • Optimism
    Optimism This one is my favorite and I love being optimistic. I would like to note down few things what late Steve jobs said here,
    You must believe in something, God, Karma, Destiny , it’s not important what you believe in, but it is crucial to just BELIEVE.
    I always believe that the things will be all right. Everything will fall under the right place at the right time, that’s how the universe works.

I hope these few things might give you a boost to overcome depression and bring happiness in you.
